Lanaiya King was born in New York State, earned her Bachelors of Science degree at the University of Massachusetts and has lived and traveled extensively throughout the world, including Japan and Australia. She had an intense and unusual wake up call in 1986 while living in Tokyo, where her telepathic communication abilities and vibrational healing gifts through sound and energy suddenly emerged. Lanaiya left the business world of international finance and marketing, relocated back to the United States, and began her service as a Lightworker to humanity.
